Security of Distributed Systems
Information and communication technology have acquired a global transboundary nature and have become an integral part of all areas of activity of the state, society and the individual. Private companies and government agencies organize packet-switched local area networks based on the TCP/IP protocol stack. Vulnerabilities of this stack, operating systems, defenses, software, algorithms, methods and protocols can be used by attackers to do significant economic, social or political damage. Accordingly, information security issues have become increasingly strategic.
EFFICIENT ALGORITHMS
The basis of the course is an extensive domestic and foreign experience in solving problems of building effective algorithms, using them to solve a wide range of problems of decision making.
The course is intended for students studying information technology and decision making theory, and may also be useful for university teachers, postgraduates, undergraduate and graduate students of relevant fields.

ТЕХНОЛОГИИ НЕЙРОРАСПОЗНАВАНИЯ
В курсе рассмотрены вопросы распознавания изображений на основе технологий искусственных нейронных сетей. Приведены основные понятия и модели нейронных сетей. Описаны примеры практического применения для решения задач распознавания, в т.ч. использование программных библиотек для создания приложений «умного города».
Курс предназначен для студентов, изучающих информационные технологии и цифровую обработку данных, однако может быть полезным для преподавателей высшей школы, аспирантов, студентов бакалавриата и магистратуры соответствующих направлений.
Mobile networks for the Internet of Things and Smart City
The textbook describes telecommunication systems: the technical foundations of modern mobile networks, discusses the choice of mobile network technologies for using and building elements of the Internet of things, Smart Home and Smart City. The LoRaWAN technology is considered in detail. Recommendations are given on the use of mobile networks in Smart City applications. One of the main factors when choosing a technology is energy efficiency when using battery power sensors and end devices.
The manual was developed for students of bachelor's and master's degrees in “Information Systems and Technologies”, “Applied Informatics”, “Informatics and Computer Engineering”.
